OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the main components of the Headway Ocean Guard BWTS.
- Explain the working principles of filtration, UV treatment and electrolysis/AOP.
- Carry out safe ballasting and de-ballasting using automatic and manual modes.
- Monitor key parameters such as TRO, UV intensity, ΔP and flow rate.
- Troubleshoot common operational and sensor issues.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance safely.
- Follow safety procedures for chemicals, LOTO and confined-area work.
- Maintain proper ballast water logs and prepare for PSC inspections.
